Jeff Nall is a writer, speaker, and peace activist. Nall is a PhD candidate in Comparative Studies at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), Boca Raton, Florida. He holds a Master of Liberal Studies from Rollins College and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from FAU.
Nall’s writing has appeared in select academic journals and a range of independent magazines including Z magazine, Toward Freedom, and Humanist Network News.
He has an essay in each of two forthcoming books including Beyond Burning Bras: Feminist Activism for Everyone (2010 ABC-CLIO) and Religion and the New Atheism: A Critical Appraisal (2010 Brill Academic Publishers).
Nall is the author of Perpetual Revolt: Essays on Peace & Justice and The Shared Values of Secular, Spiritual, and Religious Progressives (Howling Dog Press), published September 2008. He also contributed two essays to The Cost of Freedom: Anthology of Peace and Activism (2007).
A vocal critic of U.S. militarism, Nall co-founded Patriots for Peace Brevard in 2003 and Humanists for Peace in 2008. In 2009 he co-organized the October 17, 2009 “Protest to End the War Economy” in Orlando, and the March 28, 2009 “Florida March for Peace,” in Melbourne, Fl.
Nall’s anti-war analysis has been featured in a range of media including The Mark Weaver Show, WMNF Evening News (Tampa) (3-27-09), WSLR Sarasota Community Radio, Orlando Sentinel (9-25-09), Central Florida Future (10-18-09), Florida Today (3-31-09), Hometown News (3-27-09), Humanist Network News (3-18-09), Independent Alligator (3-17-09), and The Reporter (1-25-09).
